Let us 'transport' you to the picturesque coastal town of Dieppe, with its lively cafés and restaurants, cliff-top castle, historic churches and vibrant streets, creating a rich blend of culture, history and everyday French life. 

 

Through our immersive 360° VR tour, you’ll depart by ferry from Newhaven before exploring the town and its ports by various modes of transport, including by bicycle, boat, tourist train and walking. Along the way, you’ll enjoy moments of local culture - whether that's stopping for a coffee, dining on moules frites or discovering fresh produce - as well as more touristic pleasures such as panoramic views and the colour and creativity of the International Kite Festival, which fills the skies of Dieppe every 2 years.

With realia and interactive elements forming part of the multi-sensory installation, participants will enjoy hands-on discovery of different elements of the journey. 

​

French learners in schools and other settings will have opportunities to practise language through role-play activities such as arriving at border control, ordering food and drink, asking for directions in town and finding out more about what goes on in Dieppe.

 

Linked creative, cultural, and culinary workshops offer a deeper dive into this theme (eg. making local delicacies, designing a kite and planning a route along the Avenue Verte).
