Our prices are extremely competitive and in order to fulfil our mission of widening participation, our pricing varies by type of setting, whether private or state-funded, by number of participants, by distance and by addition of optional linked workshops.

Prices start at £450 for a whole-day visit and £230 for a half-day visit - for schools, prices currently includes pre- and post-lesson resources. Our online options start at £50.

Potential customers who are unable to self-finance our in-person 'pop-up' visits can either allow us to assist with a letter to encourage contributions from their community or join our waiting list for funded visits as soon as our All Abroad! Enrichment fund allows the next visits to be offered. See FAQs.

Let us ‘transport’ you to the charming stalls, friendly sellers, seasonal traditions and magical atmosphere of an authentic Christmas market in Northern France, to celebrate this most wonderful time of the year just across the Channel.

This unique immersive, interactive, multi-sensory, multimedia experience, which includes an original 360' VR tour, allows you to explore first-hand a selection of typical and beautifully-decorated stalls and enjoy the magic of the scenery and entertainment. Lively interactions with local vendors ensure you really feel part of the shopping experience, as they chat about their products and the importance of quality, origin, fabrication and preparation.

With a selection of stalls set up within a twinkly Christmassy context, participants will be encouraged to explore displays of different wares and gifts, from artisanal goods to delicious foods, sampling new flavours and preparing treats to serve to each other, from pain d'épices (spiced bread) and gaufres (waffles) to stinky cheese!

French learners in schools and other settings will be offered French language tasks and challenges, including role-playing as vendors and buyers. Pre- and post-experience lesson plans and resources are also available to prepare for this virtual journey (language and culture) and to recall and reflect on it afterwards.

In-person 'pop-up' visits:

We bring all resources to your location and set up the immersive experience in a suitable space for the number and needs of participants, with a dedicated space for the 360° Virtual Reality tour.

All Abroad! Bus linguist facilitator introduces the sessions and encourages engagement, assisted by any available linguist helpers and adults who would normally be with the group or any individuals.

Participants join sessions in groups (up to 30 at a time) to go on their own personal and collective virtual journeys, engaging with different activities which are customised to settings and any needs.

A few participants at a time enjoy the 360° VR tour in Oculus Quest headsets (typically lasting a few minutes), with a tablet version available for anyone not comfortable in a headset.

Minimum duration of visit: 1 whole day, or half-day if within a smaller radius*, made up of:
- multiple sessions, usually up to 1 hour per group for main experience, rotating groups;
- and/or extended sessions with same group(s) through linked workshops.

*At present, our whole-day in-person 'pop-up' visits are available for locations in East Sussex, Brighton and Hove and parts of West Sussex, Kent and Surrey in the UK. Half-day visits are also available but only in the Lewes district of East Sussex. However, whilst actively working to expand our geographical reach, we are happy to discuss options for visits further afield.

Online options:

We provide online and downloadable resources and ideas to help you recreate this experience in your setting, including a Click 'n' Drag VR tour accessible via computers and WiFi-enabled tablets.

This is a great option for those who want a taste of our immersive experiences or to enjoy them more regularly than budgets/funding for in-person visits allow, or whilst waiting for us to reach your geographical area.

Linked bilingual (Spanish/English) or English-only creative, cultural and culinary online workshops can also be added as well as live online virtual visits.
